    Lowest council tax rise in twelve years

    The Reform-run county council’s 2026/27 budget held the council tax increase to 3.8 per cent, the lowest in twelve years, after two successive years of 4.99 per cent.

On 3 September the Lancashire County Council cabinet agreed to end the council's role administering the Home Office refugee resettlement schemes. Cllr Simon Evans and Cllr Ella Worthington were both among the ten cabinet members in the room.
