Standing Up for Skelmersdale

Investment and pride for Skelmersdale and its town centre.

Skelmersdale gave Reform its biggest breakthrough in West Lancashire. We will not take that trust for granted, and we will not let the town keep waiting for the investment it was promised.

A town that voted for change

Reform now holds all three of Skelmersdale’s county divisions and four of its borough seats. Residents did not lend us that support for nothing: they want a town centre and estates they can be proud of.

What we are pushing for

Skelmersdale has waited far too long for the regeneration and town-centre investment it was promised time and again. Our councillors, including the county council’s Cabinet Member for Civic Pride, are pressing to get the town the attention and investment it deserves.

From the town centre to the estates, our test is simple: is Skelmersdale getting its fair share, and can residents see the difference on the ground?

Our commitments

  • Press hard for the regeneration and town-centre investment Skelmersdale was promised.
  • Use the county’s Civic Pride portfolio to put Skelmersdale up the priority list.
  • Judge success by what residents can actually see change, not announcements.
