The source is the "payments to suppliers over £500" data that West Lancashire Borough Council publishes on its website. This is payments over £500 only: it excludes wages, sub-£500 payments and benefits, so it is not the council's whole budget. The 2025/26 figures cover payments published up to December 2025.
